Venous Ultrasound

Venous Ultrasound

A venous ultrasound is scheduled as part of a comprehensive initial consultation to assess the health and condition of a patient’s venous system in the lower extremities. Ultrasound is a non-invasive way to obtain an accurate picture of what is causing pain, swelling or varicose and spider veins. It can also catch a potential problems early enough to avoid further damage to the venous system and preserve it much longer than if the problem had gone unnoticed.

A comprehensive consultation combines a patient's medical history, eplanation of symptoms and ultrasound results to help Dr. Wilkinson provide a proper diagnosis and care plan. The patient is under no obligation to proceed with further treatment after an Ultrasound is performed.
